Wayne Kestle rode well to get a second place in the state test races on Sunday.  Brent McCaig was first and Blackburn’s Duncan Smith was third

Fifty riders started the juvenile race, but once the big field hit the hills the lesser riders dropped back.

About a dozen riders were left for the sprint but Brent proved just a bit to fast for Wayne,

Sign of the times was that both Brent and Wayne and also another rider picked at random were drug tested.  The next big race for Wayne will be the State Championships at Gembrook on Sunday, September 8.
