Wednesday’s track racing continues to grow in stature, level of competition, and entertainment as more and more riders and spectators become involved.
Kestle, Gallagher, Jackson and the Latrobe Valley boys, Kypriotis and Spiteri, continue to share the victories of some very fast racing.
It was also pleasing to see the consistent attendance and efforts of Paul Yeatman and Sue Van derveen rewarded when they held out the back markers to finish first and second respectively in one of the open handicaps.
Again more of the B and C grade riders are invited to take part to enable the staging of more evenly graded events.
Richard Abel and Brett Williams continue their exciting competition for top juvenile rider while the improvement of youngster Stephen West from Leongatha showed in his close up placing in the handicap event.
Members, and those considering joining the club, are advised that forms are available from secretary Hanks for the 1992 year and club colours can be purchased locally or enquiries made through Peter Finlayson.
