Friday night’s track events were again well supported with Chris Ray, (Sale/Maffra) and Brett Williams taking out the main graded handicap.
Kestle and Gary Jackson did well in the other A grade events whilst Cuckson upset the tacticians to score comfortably in a daring solo ride over seven of the eight laps of the B grade “miss and out” event.
All riders took part in the final 20 lap scratch with the youngsters acquitting themselves very well. The novice boys snared the spoils in several events with newcomer Daniel Wright showing some excellent tactics to win the “miss and out” and Karl Boomsma back in action to strongly take out two handicaps.
With the Warragul track open to be held Saturday, December 12 it is anticipated that some of the top state riders may be in attendance for practice sessions prior to that date. Members and supporters are advised that a final working bee has been called for 9 am this Sunday (November 22) to attach the grandstand seating. Your attendance would be most appreciated to put the finishing touches to this facility, which is required to be completed prior to the Open.
