Sunday’s Gippsland Championships held at Leongatha saw Warragul riders perform well with the under 19’s making a clean sweep of placings. Wayne Kestle took out the 60 km event ahead of Aaron Nobelius with Fenwick third. Keeble finished a very close third in the under 17 event with Boxall fourth and Fleming fifth over 38 km. In the senior event over 109 km, Thomson finished fifth and Henry, in his first season, battled on well against some tough and seasoned campaigners.
