Recreational Riding News

Warragul cyclists were treated to fantastic conditions for racing, riding and skills enhancement this weekend with plenty of blue skies and mild breezes. In racing circles, the Buln Buln course attracted a strong field on Saturday afternoon, while the recreational riders enjoyed a pleasant cruise out to the Daisy Patch for coffee before leading Melbourne cycling skills coach Warren Cay took workshops on developing cycle skills and confidence.

Under Warren ’s tutelage, an enthusiastic bunch took to the velodrome and streets of Warragul, developing their skills and confidence in cornering, obstacles, riding with others and hill climbing techniques. Attendees at the workshop and their passion for recreational riding made a strong impression on Warren, who has promised to provide on-going support to the new arm of cycling in Warragul.

The next recreational ride event will be held on Sunday November 14 at 9am from the Warragul Velodrome, followed by a bike mechanics practical skills workshop run by members of the Warragul Cycling Club. Learn how to keep your bike out on the road and in good working order.
