Not keen on racing? Ease into things by joining up with others on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday or Sunday morning for a ride or two. Every Sunday sees two groups assemble outside BikeLand for a spin around the local area. 8:15 sees a moderately paced ride head off, while the friskier riders take off at 8:00am for a fast ride. Read about our bunch rides here. If you can hack the pace in these rides you can race.
Are you a recreational rider who wants to race, but thinks the are not up to it? Come along to one of our handicaps. You can race at your own pace and may even win! Tell the handicapper how fast you ride normally and you will be given the appropriate start time.
Got a social ride or training ride you want to tell everyone about? Email the webmaster.
Note that the bunch rides are not sanctioned club events. They are a gathering of like minded individuals all riding along the same course at the same time. We encourage all participants to set an example for other road users. Riders taking part in these rides do so at their own risk. Crashes can and do occur. WCC condones safe and legal riding practices and recommend you always wear a helmet, use lights when appropriate, and abide by local road rules and regulations.
For riders participating in the rides below, it is courteous to stop and wait if someone punctures or needs minor mechanical adjustments.
Besides riding on the road, there is an off road path between Warragul and Drouin called the Two Towns Trail. Read about it here.
The plan for the longer ride is to always finish around 9:30 to 9:45 so that those participating can enjoy coffee with the 8:00 and 8:15 riders.
