An alteration to information supplied last week is that the Gippsland Track Championships to be held next Saturday (21st) are scheduled to commence at 10am.
This season’s night track racing will conclude on the following Wednesday, March 25 and will take the form of the club championship events in which only club riders will be able to compete.
Saturday, March 28 sees the final track events with the staging of the Warragul Open with racing to start at 3 pm. This should be an exciting race meeting with Auckland Commonwealth gold medallist Kathy Watt, Los Angeles Olympic gold medallist Dean Woods and Victorian sprint champion David Dew among several top line cyclists who have indicated that they will be participating. Several of the local businesses have very generously supported this meeting and all club members and supporters are encouraged to come along and make this a special day for the close of the track season.
