For the 2012 race calendar, the club will be allocating responsibilities to Club members for all races. The attached roster was developed by the WCC Committee and comprises three key roles for every race:
* Roster Co-ordinator - permanent - Neil Walker - 0428 590 213 or e-mail walker@dcsi.net.au
* Race-day Co-ordinator
* Trailer / Sign Duty - permanently stored at 12 Lillico Road Warragul (Jayman Prestidge's place).
* Marshalling Duty
A concise list of minimum tasks and accompanying instructions (where needed) will also be available on the website for each role. These will be loaded up in due course.
On weekly basis Neil Walker will contact the assigned individuals to ensure they are available for their designated race day. It is the responsibility of individuals to find substitutes if they are unable to perform their assigned task/duty on the given weekend (and advise Neil Walker). Neil will have a Club contacts list and will contact you on a Wednesday by phone.
We know this change will take a little getting used to but a roster will ensure that racing is always delivered to the club's members in an organised, fair and safe way. Thank you for your co-operation.

The Ride to Conquer Cancer Oct 27-28 2012
A new non for profit event to run next year in Melbourne, Ride to Conquer Cancer will be benefitting the Peter Mac Foundation. The event is a 200km ride over two days riding from Melbourne to the Yarra Valley and back the next day.
This event is open to cyclists ranging from beginners to experienced riders. The organisers support everyone with their fundraising, advise them on where to get their gear and also where they can train in their local areas. Read more.
Passing of a Club Member
The club offers its condolences to the family of Karen Munroe who lost her battle with cancer this week. Karen always had a positive outlook and had a lovely character. She held a number of medals at both state and national level and was actively involved in our junior track program.
Dangerous Road Notification
Riders are advised to avoid the Yarragon hill climbs for safety and traffic reasons. This request has come from Baw Baw shire - there are road slips on one of the roads and so traffic is very heavy on the other road.
