Ride It Day – Best Ride Yet

17/04/2005

On Sunday (April 17) the Ride-It group enjoyed a truly memorable ride under ideal conditions, although the cool and foggy start was a concern. However shortly after leaving the Tetoora Road Hall and gaining some elevation the fog was left behind and the cyclists enjoyed the truly magnificent views from along the Grand Ridge Road and McDonalds Track. The downhill run from the top into Yarragon was probably the highlight of the ride, providing an exhilarating experience. A refreshing coffee stop preceded the return along Hazeldean road. A total of 51 kilometres were covered with the hills being more of a challenge than the distance. It was agreed by all cyclists that this was one of the best rides that they had been on.
The next ride is on Saturday April 23, a leisurely pedal to Darnum and return from the velodrome.
