“Bush Crits” Race 2

Warm weather saw 22 riders take part in the second race of the Bush Crits series.  A great turn out given the seasonal celebrations keeping other away.

As in Race 1, the faster bunches began first and rode the longest distances.  A grade raced for 60 minutes, B grade for 50 and C and D for 40 minutes each.  In a slight change of format, A and C grade raced first, followed by the B and D grade racing once the initial races had been run.

A grade consisted of seven starters: James Henry, Tim Lee, Robert Reed  (visiting from interstate), Scott Keeble, Chris Beales, Jason, Kruger and Steve Twining.  At the end, Kruger rolled Henry with Reid coming in third.  The race time was 0’58:32.21.

B grade consisted of seven starters also: Ross Henry, Clint Hick, Neil Walker, Bret Millar, Colin Brown, Mark Oakley-Brown and Matt Kennelly.  After 0″51:23.30, Miller crossed the line first followed by Oakley-Brown and Henry.

C grade consisted four starters, double the number of the previous race.  Geoff Gatt, Brain Munro, Steven Muggeridge and Michael Krucz (visiting from interstate) were the starters.  Following 0″38:48.00 worth of racing, Kruczl preceded Muggeridge and Gatt.

D grade consisted fo four starters: Elizabeth Watson, Karen Munro, Callan Barker and Noel Mason.  Barker continued his unbeaten run in the series by coming in first followed by Mason and Munro.  The time was 0″40:04.51.
